’If you can keep your child at home, you should’

Dear Parent and Carers,

Gavin Williamson (Education Secretary) on Saturday 21st March ‘you should only send your child to school on Monday if you have to, because your work is critical to our COVID-19 response’.

’If you can keep your child at home, you should’.

I am reaching out to all parents to support the school in keeping both the students and staff who need to remain in school as safe as possible and not putting any of these people at unnecessary risk.

As requested last week, please can you contact the office and confirm if you are a critical worker informing the school of the organisation you work for and your role within it. This way we can ensure that there is a provision available that your child can access, to support your critical role to the COVID - 19 response.

Please follow this advice and thank you for your support on making this happen and ensuring that we keep as many staff and students as safe as possible.

We all have a part to play and a responsibility to each other.

Please stay safe and check in via phone to your loved ones.

Best Wishes

Ms Thackaberry
